Who we are: We are Aarohan consultancy and services, a new tech startup in the field of knowledge and information management especially for educational institutions.
We are an incubatee at VIT TBI (Vellore Institute of Technology, Technology Business Incubator) under a program funded and supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the “infodev” project of the World Bank.
We are developing various tools and services aimed at making the students’ journey through the educational path more fruitful and rewarding information wise.
We here intend to offer a customized information service to your school.
What we offer: We are a first of its kind knowledge management company of the country. We outsource the knowledge and information requirement of the educational institutions. we take the responsibility to solve every “when. Where and why” thing that props in the school campus
The service intends to outsource the knowledge and information needs of the educational institution. The service includes the following sectors of information management.
- Further education and career planning
- Scholarship availability and eligibility
- Foreign education data base
- Career details and future prospect
- University regulations and admission criterion.
- Government support and scholarships for higher education.
- Availability of professional courses under different universities of the country.
- Bank education loans and other allied educational funding processes.
- School project related information search.
- Biographies of scholars and other personalities
- New scientific findings and researches.
- New trends of technology and research around the world
- Origins of cultures and history.
And many more specific fields of interest for the students in general would be catered through our information service.
The delivery of the service will be undertaken through two means.
- Query Response Service: Under this service we invite queries from the students of the registered institute through phone, sms or e-mail and we provide a printed response of the query to the school institution, to be redirected to the student in concern. The query will be short and to the point and will contain additional url’s for the student for further research. This service will be supplemented by our own query database on our web site which will be open for all to view.
The students will be free to ask questions regarding further education, foreign education, details about a particular world event or personality, history and any other information of their interest. At least 100 queries of the school will be responded to in print by our organization every month.
- Notice Board Maintenance: Under this service we maintain an information notice board for the school which will be updated at least on a monthly basis. This information notice board will help the school children keep themselves uptodated with the latest happenings all around the world which may be of their interest along with information and invites to the local educational and cultural events all the year round. The information notice board will have information and articles to suit every student and interest. This notice board will contain information like competitive exam dates, board exam related information, details of colleges, admission related information, eligibility criteria and forms availability. Thus the students will never miss an important exam or competitive test or educational event.
This service is aimed at keeping the student irrespective of the background or financial backing, excel in his/her career and stream of interest. We intend to provide a similar service to all semi urban and rural population through the help of local ngo’s and information kiosks. We have a target to gain access to at least 250 schools (100 urban, 100 semi urban, 50 rural) in Bangalore and its adjoining areas before the month of December, 2007.
Fee and payment : Our company is a not for profit concern and thus the service will be offered to all schools irrespective of the economic standing of the students, free of cost. We intend to finance our self from government aid, institutional financing, local philanthropy, private sponsorships, and corporate endorsement. We have a goal to position our self in at least 500 districts al across the country by 2010, thereby serving at least 1 out of every 10 students of the country.
We believe that it is information that makes the difference between the “haves and the have-nots”, and thus this endeavor of ours to provide latest information to help the students dream, decide and implement their individual career interests and goals. As it is said that a person can only be successful doing something if he enjoys doing it, we intend to help the student identify their personal niches and implement their dreams and goals to achieve the ultimate success of life.
